A Jungle Wedding at Lula Tulum

Tulum has a way of choosing people. Joyce and Chris first came here together on vacation, fell completely in love with the place, and then Chris arranged to have a painting of himself, down on one knee, waiting for her inside an art gallery on the hotel strip. She walked in thinking her friend wasn’t feeling well. She walked out engaged. She also said no first, which honestly makes the story better. lol

They came back to Tulum to get married, and the venue they chose was easy, it had to be here. The ceremony took place in the secret garden at what was then Sanara Tulum, now known as Lula Tulum, one of the most intimate and lush jungle settings on the Tulum Hotel Zone. Palm trees overhead, their closest people around them, and that particular quality of Tulum light that makes everything feel a little sacred.

Because they’d already had a surprise wedding at home, this was purely about the people who matter most. No production, no performance, just a real celebration in one of the most beautiful places in Mexico.

Joyce & Chris — thank you for bringing me back to Tulum for this. It was everything.
