When Sol Tamargo asked me to photograph her wedding, I said yes before she even finished the sentence.

Sol is one of the most respected wedding photographers in the industry, she’s shot thousands of destination weddings, inspired photographers around the world, and earned more awards and features than I can count. So when she chose me to capture her own day, I won’t pretend I wasn’t completely overwhelmed. It meant everything!!!!!!

Sol and David got married at a private villa in Puerto Aventuras, Mexico, just a small, intimate gathering of the people who matter most to them. No grand production, no over-the-top décor. Just two people deeply in love, surrounded by their closest friends and family, promising each other everything. The kind of wedding that reminds you why this work matters.

Watching Sol, someone who has documented thousands of love stories, live her own, was one of the most beautiful things I’ve ever had the privilege of photographing. These two are the real thing.
